This was an easy pick with one coach going out and the players having nothing to play for versus another coach trying to build for next year, conversely the players are playing for something.

The Pack will run and get up early while the Spartans will find plenty of holes in the Nevada defense to keep the scoreboard running well into the 70 point range.

Both offenses could not run the ball in the first half which was a total surprise considering how weak both defenses are against the run. Nevada started to move the ball on the ground and San Jose State was able to make enough big plays to get the total to go over.

This is a very good team that went into the toilet as soon as they lost their first game. They wanted it all and as soon as the bubble was broken they went south. Now that they are back to the right frame of mind look for them to crush a weak Rice team this weekend.
College Football Picks Week 9 This was an easy pick once we figured that the Bulldogs have finally gotten over the fact that they were not the BCS buster. You have to remember that this team beat Kansas State on the road so to only lay 7.5 points to a weak Rice team was taking candy from a baby. The Bulldogs are now focused and should be poised to run the table. We can only hope that the line makers keep undervaluing this team.
College Football Picks Week 9 Louisville -13 @ Memphis The Cardinals are a perfect 6-0 ATS with the only SU defeat at the hands of the Hurricanes. The closest any team, outside of Miami, have been to the Cardinals is 28 points. This team is as good as advertised and will dominate the Tigers from start to finish. Louisville will torch the blitz happy defense and score from long range and short range. Memphis will score some points but not enough to stay with 2 touchdowns.
College Football Picks Week 9 Memphis exploited the secondary and now you have to wonder about the Cardinal defense, which had been so strong except for the second half against Miami. You know they are going to put some points on the board but can they revert back to covering the big spreads with their defense? We really liked the revenge factor for Louisville but that did not factor into the cover this week for us.
College Football Picks Week 9 Washington State @ UCLA -13.5 The home team is 6-1 SU and ATS the last 7 meetings in this series. The SU winner in the Rose Bowl the 5 times has won by at least 21 points. The Bruins are solid on offense and just pitched a shutout against Stanford. Washington State has no offense and if they do happen to score a couple of times the Bruins will be hanging 30 plus on them so it will not matter.
College Football Picks Week 9 A fumble on the opening kickoff followed by an injury to their star running back shortly after, doomed UCLA. The Bruins gave the Cougars the game early then could not stop the running game of Washington State. It did not help losing Drew but the Bruins offense was not what it has been during this winning streak. Bad karma from the get go put the Bruins in a hole that they could not get out.

They have had two weeks and their offense is too good not to put up at least 28 points. Louisville will score 45 plus points against an aggressive defense that leaves itself open for the big play. The Cardinals have too much veteran leadership on the offensive side and will exploit the aggressive defense.

Memphis wakes up from their mini slump on offense and the scoreboard was rocking. College Football Picks Week 9 Tulsa/SMU Over 52 The Mustangs will score some points against a very weak Tulsa defense. Tulsa will score a ton of points because their offense is good enough. This could be a repeat of the Reno/Tulsa game with both offenses dictating the tempo of the game.
This game also was over early; it just took 3 quarters to reach the over. Both offenses were explosive against the weak defenses. This is the 5th game Tulsa has scored at least 35 points in the last 6 games. Watch for the totals when they play, could be easy money the next few weeks. College Football Picks Week 9 Oregon +21 @ California The Ducks always play the Bears tough and this year should be no different. California has looked good and might be reading too much of the print. They will get a wake up call this weekend and then hold on for the victory. Take the 21 points because the Ducks will stay within one possession of pulling off the upset.
College Football Picks Week 9 Well, they had the chance to win this game straight up but a missed extra point and an untimely dropped pass spoiled their chances. The Ducks continue to play the Bears tough. This line was way out of whack because this was basically the game that decided who would play in the Rose Bowl. Oregon might now start getting some respect.
