With that said, one may think the play would be to take the Bears. But hold on, not so fast. Let’s look at the opponents. The Bears beat two teams that are unlikely to make the playoffs. The Packers may not even win a game (according the Favre). The Vikings have beaten two teams that both are 0-2 but are two teams that can make the playoffs. Brad Johnson is an animal at 38 years old. After the beating he took against the Panthers and he still lead his team down the field in overtime and set his team up for an easy victory. Chester Taylor is a running machine. Finally, the Vikings have a running back they have sorely missed the last few years. Their defense is playing their heart out as well. This should be a knockout, drag-out fight from the coin flip to the final bell. Take the home team in this one because this game will be decided by a field goal either way. NFL 4 Hook Philadelphia -6 @ San Francisco Philadelphia has to travel across the nation after the huge melt down last week in the second half. Hence, you have the 6 point line. Yes we know that SF has actually looked decent this year but they played a St. Louis team trying to find its identity and a Cardinal team that is once again are over rated. If the Eagles had finished the game last weekend the line would be an easy 10. So do you bet against the character of the Eagle team or be with them. I think this team has too much character and will bounce back in a major way by blowing the 49er team up this weekend. Lay the little 6 and enjoy this one as McNabb and company get it rolling in San Francisco. NFL 3 Hook Denver +6.5 @ New England Plummer is in trouble, we want Cutler. New England is once again 2-0 and looking like they are contenders to win it all. STOP! Yes Plummer has not looked good but he is not in trouble and he will be okay, at least for this year. No, New England is not okay and is the worst 2-0 team in the history of the NFL. I hope that does not come back and bite me in the ass! Seriously, New England can't stretch the field and to be laying this many points with no offensive fire power is crazy! I don't care if they are looking for revenge after Denver knocked them off last year. All they are going to be looking at is the empty places for them to run and pass because the DENVER defense is for real! This is the 3rd week and no one has scored a touchdown on this unit. And let me tell you, thanks to the offense the team has been on the field quite a bit and still keeps the other teams out of the endzone. We are betting that Jake will be okay, not great, just okay and that without ability to stretch the field the Patriots will be kicking field goals. Did we mention that Adam kicks for someone else?
