MNF Total

What to do with the large total this MNF has people talking around the water cooler. This has a chance to be a highly entertaining offensive football game. Here is a thought on how to make some money this Monday, and of course to enjoy the game.

We are looking at this possibly being one of our top ten picks this weekend but you would have to buy the weekly football package to find out if it did make the top ten list. Personally I am going to place a small wager on the OVER but wait until half time to place a larger wager on the game.

If I can get the total for the 2nd half under 24 points with the first half point total under 31 I would double my bet if the following information happened.

The flow of the game has been high, meaning the teams have moved the ball but have not cashed the yards into a lot of points. I am looking for a couple of turnovers from the teams as they get into or close to the red zone. Missed opportunities in this game will not be missed later on if the teams have played a high paced game during the first half. If the game has been choppy, meaning the offenses have only showed or scored on a few big plays then I would stay off the game in the second half.

Without writing a book, I am placing a small wager on the OVER, looking to place a larger wager on the 2ND half OVER if the game plays out like I want it to. Two scenarios could happen, the game is not going accordingly to my plan and I just have the small wager on the OVER or things work out and I have my small wager and a large wager on the OVER in the second half.

This advice is similar to the JAGS/COLTS first game that I gave you in a previous ezine and it cashed in for the people that listened. Good luck this weekend.

THOUGHTS AND PONDERS:

-Goodbye 21 game win streak! Great run but like every great run it must come to an end.

-How good are the Steelers? They handled the Pats pretty easily last week. The Steelers are for real. Now they have the Eagles this week. Are they going to make it two weeks in a row beating undefeated teams? There is a good chance the Eagles watched the Pats game at sometime during this week.

-What in the hell is going on with the Dolphins? How can you go and beat the Rams two weeks ago and then get totally spanked by the Jets on Monday night? Maybe the question should be, how bad are the Rams?

-It doesn’t matter who you are but when Terrell Owens did the Ray Lewis dance last week, didn’t you want Lewis to come over there and kick his ass?

-Kansas City is back! Priest Holmes is going to break his own touchdown record this year.

-Oakland. San Francisco. What happened to these teams that dominated the 80’s and 90’s?

-Still think the Patriots are the best team in the AFC?

Question of the Week: How many NFL teams could the USC Trojans beat? -

Just The Facts:

We continue to be around 50% and need to hit a streak here soon. The picks have been solid but it seems like one or two plays have killed us.

We are still in 40th place for NFL Picks at the National Sports Monitor.

We are in 2nd place in the NFL Total OVER/UNDER plays with a 12-4 (75%) mark at the National Sports Monitor.

We are struggling at the Hilton Super NFL Contest with a 18-22 record.

Our free picks went 2-4 last week putting our season record to 32-27-1. (54%)

NFL Free Picks:

Kansas City -3 @ Tampa Bay

Are the Chiefs back on track now? Back to back wins with victories over the Falcons and the Colts. They ran over the Colts last week in a major way. Priest Holmes is a running machine. He is on pace to break his own rushing TD record. The Bucs are coming off a bye week and are rested for the Chiefs but that won’t be enough. Holmes will be able to run around the Bucs D just like he has done with every other team this year. Green is getting hot and Gonzales is getting the ball more. Look out league; the Chiefs are for real again. The Chiefs will win easily again this week.

Kansas City/Tampa Bay Over 44

In the last two weeks, the Chiefs are averaging 50.5 points a game! The scary part is they may be capable of scoring more. So who knew the Chiefs can score points galore. The Bucs will be able to score points as well. You know that the Chiefs have trouble stopping people as well. This should be a high scoring game. The game should be an easy over and who knows, the Chiefs could do it on their own!

College Free Picks:

Louisville/Memphis Over 61

Memphis will look to get the offense going after the poor performance the last time they took the field. They have had two weeks and their offense is too good not to put up at least 28 points. Louisville will score 45 plus points against an aggressive defense that leaves itself open for the big play. The Cardinals have too much veteran leadership on the offensive side and will exploit the aggressive defense.

Tulsa/SMU Over 52

The Mustangs will score some points against a very weak Tulsa defense. Tulsa will score a ton of points because their offense is good enough. This could be a repeat of the Reno/Tulsa game with both offenses dictating the tempo of the game.

Oregon +21 @ California

The Ducks always play the Bears tough and this year should be no different. California has looked good and might be reading too much of the print. They will get a wake up call this weekend and then hold on for the victory. Take the 21 points because the Ducks will stay within one possession of pulling off the upset.
