Stat of the Week:

Big Dog of Thehooks went 5-0 in his picks last week. The New England Over selection this week is his pick.

San Diego @ New England

We have been sending one of our guaranteed picks to the Reno Gazette Journal to compete in their Handicapping Contest. We are currently 4-0 in these picks.

Since the readers of Reno have been enjoying the information for free we thought that we would send this out to Thehooks Book customers once in a while.

NFL 3 Hook
NE/SD Over 47.5

Thehooks will be playing the OVER 47.5 in the New England and San Diego game.

The number #1 AFC passing offense belongs to the Patriots and the Chargers are ranked near the bottom in pass defense. Brady will have a big day and get his team in the endzone at least 4 times.

San Diego is the top rushing team in the AFC but the Patriots will hang tough on the ground by putting more people in the box. This strategy will haunt them and they will be burned by the best TE, Antonio Gates, for a couple of scores. If New England does not add support to the run expect 150 yards from LT.

New England keeps plugging players in when one falls down, now the team must overcome an emotional win at Pittsburgh against a hungry San Diego team. Weather is not yet a factor this early in the season, without the threat of snow this game will be a high scoring affair.

5 Questions

This is the Meathook signing in for Thehooks book from thehooksfootballpicks.com giving you five questions to think about this weekend. Dr. D is a bit under the weather this week but will be back next week.

1. Just how good is Arizona State?

2. Are the Patriots in trouble with all the injuries?

3. Will the Jets become the Dolphins from last year?

4. Are the Packers done?

5. Is Alabama ready to step up in competition?

Just The Facts:

We submit all our picks to the National Sports Monitor. Sometimes they do not have all our lines but you will find the percentage we have on our site and on their site almost identical.

We submit our TOP plays to the Ultimate Handicapping Challenge and you will only find our top plays there.

We submit most of the picks to Gurutracker but if the lines are different than the National Sports Monitor we will not submit the picks. Percentage should be close.

With that said, we are ranked #1 at the National Sports Monitor for college football and somewhere in the middle for the NFL so far.
