Dr. D's Thoughts and Ponders:

THOUGHTS AND PONDERS:

Welcome back to Thoughts and Ponders. It has been a few weeks but the sand and sun and surf of Antigua couldn't keep me away for too long. So sit back, relax and let the Doctor get to work.

Is there any team out there that wants to be number 2 in NCAA football? First South Florida was there and now they no longer exist on the top 25 I don't think. Then Boston College becomes number 2 and survives a scare against Va Tech but can't get past Florida St. Now LSU is back at number 2. Who knows how long that will last?

Apparently Coach Bowden still has some magic in his hat down at Florida St.

Who's your Heisman hopeful? Dixon? Tebow? McFadden? Hart? Ryan?

Right now the nod has to go to Dixon. His team is number 3 in the nation and they just manhandled Arizona St last week. But don't coun't out McFadden. With a 321 rushing yard performance, he finally gave voters a reason to vote for him.

Nobody is really talking about Michael Hart. Michigan is back in the top 15 and they are playing good ball. Hart has been playing good ball since Appalachian St. And in two weeks they play Ohio St. What if Michigan beats Ohio St and Hart has a great game? What then voters?

My dark horses which really aren't that surprising are McFadden and Hart. McFadden has LSU left and Hart has Ohio St. Both those running backs have big games and their teams win, this could be one hell of a Heisman vote.

Does Kansas get any love? Number 4 in the nation and nobody is talking about them. There's your dark horse!

How about UConn? Usually when you say Kansas and UConn you think basketball, but not this year!

The USC-Cal game really doesn't have as much flare as everyone thought at the beginning of the year.

My prediction: LSU and Ohio St will not be in the BCS championship game. You heard it here first folks! But don't quote me on it!

The Colts-Pats game turned out to everything people thought it would be minus about 30 points.

The Pats accused the Colts of cheating with pumped in noise and messing with the wiring. Get over it. You won. And nobody is going to believe a cheater anyway.

Pats go undefeated? Nah, Dolphins beat them in their next meeting, just like they did back in the day against the Bears. Except back then, the Dolphins were still good and had Dan Marino at QB. Now they can't win a game and have a guy by the name of Lemon running their offense with no running game. Maybe the Pats do go undefeated.

Are the Detroit Lions that good? Are the Denver Broncos that bad?

Think the Chargers miss Marty ball?

Congrats to Adrian Peterson. Rookie breaking running records. Think he has a shot at Dickerson's record this year? We will just have to wait and see.

Steal of the draft...Mr. Peterson.

Will the Dolphins or Rams win a game? If they play each other, will anybody show up to watch?

Is the AFC that good or is the NFC that bad? Teams sitting at 3-5 in the NFC are thinking playoffs. Teams sitting at 3-5 in the AFC are thinking about the draft and next year.

Well folks, it feels good to be back. Until next week, this is the Doctor, signing out!

Betting Tips

Betting Tips:

6 betting tips that I think will win 55 to 63 times this year. This is the only spot to get all 6, I list 4 of them on the site.

Last Week 3-0-2 ATS 100%

Season Totals - 35-15-2 ATS 70%

I don't like this week at all, going to drop all of the bets to one unit each except for the Central Michigan total, going to keep hammering them for 4 units. Going to parlay them just in case I am wrong and they all hit.

Central Michigan OVER (7-1-1) - Last week (Tues Night) Winner. Central Michigan and Western Michigan put up 48 points in the 4th quarter which was good because we needed every point to get the OVER! This week they are off.

Missouri First half (6-2) Last week -2 vs. Colorado and was a winner! Thought we were in trouble after the first quarter but Missouri blew them up 24-0 in the second quarter. This week they are home against Texas A&M. The line will be around 10, not out yet, will update if time before this issue is out.

Kansas (9-0) Winner last week (-19) against Nebraska (76-39). This week they visit Oklahoma State and are laying 6 points. I was able to get it at 4 but for the tracking purpase we will use 6. Get it ASAP, I think it will get to 7 or 8. Oklahoma State will be in a funk and Kansas will not look past anyone.

Purdue (5-3-2) Last week PUSH. Atleast they didn't lay an egg agianst Penn State. Thought they were going to win the game but they had to keep settling for 3 instead of punching it in. They get Michigan State this week and lay 4 points. I think Purdue runs the table ATS and straight up.

LSU (3-5-1) Last week push. Okay you laid 7.5 at some spots. I had it at 7. Purdue was a push at 7 and some of you got it at 7.5. The number was in the last issue. This team is the worst of all the trends. This week they play LA Tech and we will lay the 36 points

L'Ville OVER (5-4) They were off last week. This week they are at West VA. Take the over, West VA might get it themselves. The total is at 64 and I am being serious, West VA will make the Cardinals defense look like it is September again. Take the OVER.
