Seahawks/Rams Over 44
Seattle has had two weeks to get over the Bear disaster. Coach Holmgren gave his players the first week off instead of drilling them. We think the extra week off was a great call. Seattle had just found their offensive groove until they ran into Chicago. Expect Hasselbeck to get it going this week against the Rams.
The Rams offense is different but still quite capable of scoring over 30 points. Bulger has started to look like the Bulger we know. The Rams defense is much improved this year but we expect the Seahawks to be able to score over 20 points and this game to go over the total 44 points listed.
If you are a trend bettor, here is a trend you might be interested in. These two teams have gone over the total the first meeting of the year the past five years and gone under the second time around. Trends are good but we like the fact that Holmgren did not lose his cool after the loss to Chicago and we like the fact that both offenses seem to be getting better. Another fact is that Alexander is out so we expect to see the ball in the air when the Seahawks have the ball.

The past few weeks I have started off each Thoughts and Ponders with some sort of mention of T.O. and I promised myself I wouldn’t do it this week so I’m not. Shoot, I just mentioned his name first again! Dammit!
Florida has every right to be #2 in the polls this week. They beat a great L.S.U team. This week they leave the Swamp and head on the road to play an Auburn team that was beat by Arkansas last week. If Florida beats Auburn, they could have somewhat of a claim for the top spot but there is a chance their stay at #2 might be short-lived.
Is Boise St. a BCS worthy team? Some say yes, others say no. This week they have a chance to prove their case to the bowl makers as they have a nationally televised game on Sunday night. People may say they will be competing for airtime against the NFL Sunday night game. Oh wait, that’s Denver vs. the Raiders...Boise St should get more viewers than that game.
This is your chance to prove your worth as a BCS team Boise, don’t blow it!
If Boise St gets a BCS bid, that will help Nevada get a bowl game. Does anyone really care? Not really but I’d throw that one in for the Captain...enjoy!
I just realized that the Captain will be the only one that will enjoy that last comment...sorry to everybody else.
Ok, I think I can get to T.O. now. He is the biggest cry-baby I’ve ever seen!!!! Are you kidding me with his whining and yelling and stomping on the sidelines? He looks like a kid at Toys R Us when his mommy won’t let him get a new toy. Grow up T.O.
I remember once or maybe twice in Toys R Us as a kid and I couldn’t get a toy so I pouted and stomped my feet and you know what my mommy did? She back handed my whinny ass and you know what, I stopped. Something to think about Cowboys.
Will somebody beat Ohio St this year? Michigan maybe?
Northern Illinois has a Heisman canidate...I’m serious!
West Virginia is ranked 4th in the nation and still has to prove to everyone every week, they belong there. Ridiculous!
TCU had a 14 game win streak snapped a few weeks ago and now they have lost two in a row. Oh oh, is there another streak in the making for the Horned Frogs? Probably not considering they have Army on Oct 21st. I’m going to go out on a limb here and say their losing streak will stop there.
Kent St is the first team this year not to spank Temple. How bad do you feel if you are Kent? I do believe there are quite a few high school teams that could beat Temple worse than Kent St did.
Is it me or are the Colts just not the same team as last year? Yeah I know they are undefeated still but they struggled to beat the Jets and the Titans.
Do you think they miss Mr. James?
Do you think Mr. James misses the offensive line of the Colts?
Leinart looked pretty good in his first start for the Cards last week. But doesn’t matter who they have at QB, they still can’t seem to win.
The Bears will scare the hell out of Leinart this week.
The Bears might be the best team in the whole league.
Carolina vs. Baltimore....game of the week
How good are the Chargers? Wow, when they don’t play Marty-ball, they are pretty tough.
Philip Rivers is the real deal...ask the Steelers.
Are the Steelers done? Wow, they don’t look like their clicking at all. Hey Jerome, you might have to un-retire and get this team back on track.
