Dr. D's Thoughts and Ponders:

THOUGHTS AND PONDERS:

Welcome back to Thoughts and Ponders. Folks, I do apologize but the Doctor and Mrs. Doctor are getting ready to head off on their honeymoon. AWWW, the sand, the sun, the surf of Antigua. That means that Thoughts and Ponders are going to have to take another break for a few weeks. I know, dry your eye, but I'll be back....back more bronzed and more sarcastic! I have to get packing and getting everything ready for the trip so I'm going to leave you with one thought this week:

There is not one team that is head and shoulders above the rest in college football. This is the year that no one gets the trophy handed to them. It's all about blood, sweat and tears this year. You have to earn each and every win this year. There is no easy victory for any team. 60 minutes of football and sometimes even more (LSU/Kentucky and the 69-67 UNR/Boise St game). Ohio St and South Florida are one and two in the BCS standings right now. There is probably more than a 75% chance that one of those two teams won't be in the national championship game and there is probably a 50% chance neither team will be in it. Am I saying neither one of these teams aren't good enough to be in the championship. NO. I'm saying there are so many teams that could be in the national championship game, we are going to have to wait till the very last week to figure everything out. All I can say is this: Enjoy the rest of the college football year. This is one of the most amazing years I've seen in years. Let's just sit back and watch and see what unfolds.

Well folks, I will be back and in full effect in a couple of weeks. Take care of yourselves and enjoy the football. This is the Doctor signing out.

Betting Tips

Betting Tips:

6 betting tips that I think will win 55 to 63 times this year. This is the only spot to get all 6, I list 4 of them on the site.

Last Week 2-4 ATS 33%

Season Totals - 25-11-2 ATS 69%

These picks stumbled again. I know I said that I would drop Purdue and LSU if they lost twice, but I am going to stay on them and lower the units played. I have been betting 2 units on each game except for the over in CM, which I have been hitting for 4 units. I will lower the Purdue and LSU games to one unit. Good luck - watch Purdue and LSU both win because I am dropping my units.

Central Michigan OVER (4-1-1) - Last week Central Mich 47 - Army 23 (Over 53)- WINNER! This game was almost over at half (49 points) This week Central Michigan goes to Clemson and the total is at 62. Hammer it. I think Clemson might score that many on their own. I expect CM to put up 28 and the game to land in the 80's.

Missouri First half (4-1) Last week +6.5 vs. Oklahoma and was a LOSER! I could say I got +7 for a push but I didn't. First loss of the year, expect a bounce back laying 1 or 2 this week at home versus Texas Tech.

Kansas (6-0) Winner last week (-24) beating up on Baylor. This week they lay 4 on the road at Colorado. This might be the toughest test so far. If they look past Colorado they will not cover and will lose outright. Still laying the points!!

These next two teams I said I would drop after 2 losses but I am going to ride them one more week. I know - I am a sucker- going to ride it out!

Purdue (3-3-1) Last week LOSER. I am lowering the bet but think this team will come back and hammer teams in the second of the season. They are laying 6.5 to Iowa. Iowa sucks!! Yes they beat Illinois but that was a let down game for Illinois. Purdue lost to a better Ohio State team and a much improved (mentally) Michigan team, remember Michigan was once ranked 5th. Now Purdue starts a run that will lead them to a 10-2 mark, and hopefully a 8-3-1 ATS mark.

LSU (3-4) LOSER but what a finish again. This team is killing me. This week they are laying 11 points to Auburn. That seems a bit high but since I am going to drop my units I can say this, if it seems too high - bet it. If it seems to low - RUN. Betting LSU!

L'Ville OVER (5-2) LOSER - They cover the spread but lose the total which is all I really care about. The total Friday night at UCONN is at 62. Bet it to fly over. SPECIAL NOTE: I like L'Ville -3.5 and have bet them already. Everytime I bet L'Ville they lose and fail to cover. Just for you information. Another note, how ironic would it be that the Cardinals win the Big East? I personally think they will because everything is so wacko in College Football this year.
