Seattle

Since the readers of Reno have been enjoying the information for free we thought that we would send this out to Thehooks Book customers. We are 8-4 with this pick.

NFL 4 HOOK

NY Giants @ Seattle -4

Seattle was ready to play this game last week. They nearly let a big lead slip to San Francisco as maybe just maybe they started thinking about the Giants instead of finishing off San Francisco. Seattle is undefeated at home this year and will be able to finish off drives against the Giant defense.

The Giants have not beaten a quality team on the road this year. They failed miserably at San Diego and although they took Dallas to overtime, they were outplayed the entire game. It was the inability of Dallas's offense that kept them in the game.

Seattle has rushed for 21 touchdowns this year, which is tops in the NFL. Shaun Alexander will be able to find the endzone and that will be the difference this weekend. On the other side of the ball Seattle has only allowed 3 rushing touchdowns this year, second to the mighty Bears defense. They will make the Giants one-dimensional which will spell disaster to a good but young quarterback.

Dr. D's Thoughts And Ponders

Happy Thanksgiving everyone courtesy of Thehooks book. Let’s talk about some football.

Got to give Fresno St. props after their performance against USC last weekend. They had a great shot of winning that game, yes I said winning.

Reggie Bush! Do I have to go into detail? I don’t think so.

Are the Vikings for real? They are creeping back up into the picture. Last week’s come from behind victory against the Packers on Monday Night proved they can’t be overlooked.

Da Bears! Best team in the NFC? Maybe not the best but I bet there are quite a few teams out there that don’t want to play them. Ask the Panthers if the Bears are for real.

There were some great games last weekend: Saturday night the Fresno/USC game and then the Colts/Bengals. Great games. Let me rephrase that: Great offensive minded games. If you are defensive nut, you would have hated these games.

Bama went from undefeated to losing two in a row. But what do you expect when you play in the SEC. You play teams like Florida, Georgia, Auburn, LSU, etc.. Very few times will you see a SEC team go undefeated. Wait, let me rephrase this statement as well. Very few times will you see a SEC team with no offense go undefeated.

Miami lost to Georgia Tech last week. Well, their national title hopes are gone. And slowly and surely, do you see who is ranked 3rd? That’s right Penn St. Joe Pa can still coach I think.

By a show of hands, how many people had Penn St. ranked 3rd in the nation at this point in the season? If you have your hand up, either you are a genius or a liar!

The Ravens beat the Steelers last week. The Ravens! I know that game is a rivalry but it just goes to show you that how much Big Ben means to the Steelers and how much Maddox doesn’t belong in the league.

Bye-Bye T.O.

Game of the Weekend: Indy vs. Steelers? Or Giants vs. Seahawks? Well, technically, the Indy game isn’t on the weekend so the Giants/Seahawks game is the game of the weekend and the Indy game is the game of the week.

Question of the Week: If the 49ers, who played tough ball last week against the Seahawks, end up with the first pick in the draft again next year, who do they take?

From Dr. D and everybody else from Thehooks book wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving. Enjoy your football watching this weekend but most importantly, enjoy the company of your family and friends.
