Quote of the Week:

"Remember this: The house doesn't beat the player. It just gives him the opportunity to beat himself."

-Nicholas (Nick the Greek) Dandalos

Money in the pocket, Is it there?

Okay, you put some money in your pocket last week, right? If you were on our side and have been managing your money right you should have deposited some serious coin in your wallet. We went 8-1-1 with our guaranteed picks, 4-2 with our free picks, and 4-0-1 with the Hilton picks. If you have been smart with your money, last week should have banked you for at least the rest of the year. If you did not follow a system and have been grasping at straws then you might have missed out on the big weekend. This will be a two part series in what you should do and what you should avoid when betting football games.

People who gamble sometimes lose their patience and start betting everything in sight, chasing the money they lost or the vision of hitting the big payday. Patience and knowledge are the keys if you want to stay around for the season and win money. Notice I said win money, not become a millionaire. Very few become millionaires betting sports, and for the few that do there are a million who fall flat on their face. Many well informed gamblers who have a system would come out on top and put money in their pocket if they stay focused. If you want to win and increase your bankroll then read on. If you are looking for the 15-team parlay gambling tips please move on to another site, because you are living in a dream world and we cannot help you.

We will use our service as a quick example. We have had a below average year until about three weeks ago. Even though we have been below average we still were sitting around 50% so if you were betting $110 on each guaranteed pick you would still be right around even and perhaps ahead using certain systems for the year. We will discuss star systems and parlay cards next week. If you did not lose your patience and still have your bankroll the money would have started coming in 3 weeks ago because the guaranteed picks have gone 19-10 and cashed in over $700. BUT if you started betting games not on the list or only betting a few of the picks you would not have cashed in on playing steady. Perhaps you went 50% on your own picks and bet only 15 of the guaranteed picks instead of the 30 given out and the games you chose only went 7-8. You end up a loser because you did not stick with the plan. Or even a worse case scenario had you betting more during the weeks before we got hot and now your bankroll is smaller and then you back your bets down to $55 or $33 a game. When we did get hot, you lost a significant amount of money because you lowered your amount after raising the amount to chase money. It’s okay to walk away from the weekend even or down just a bit. You still have next week and most of your money is in your pocket. It would be devastating to lose more than you planned because you do not have the patience to wait the storm out.

So in closing for the first quick series, have a plan and stick with it. Do not sway from the plan and chase money looking for the big score. It’s okay to walk away even or close to even after the weekend is over.

Next week we will discuss the star betting systems and how much money you should allow for parlay cards.

From The Nose Bleed Section:

Thoughts and Ponders for the Week:

What is with all the fights going on lately? From the NFL to the college level, now to the NBA, it’s a disgrace. Its called professionalism or lack of!

If you have been watching the news, they have identified the guy who threw the cup at Ron Artest in the horrible Pistons/Pacers brawl. It was just written about lack of professionalism by the pros but how about fessing up to what you did as a fan. You can clearly see him on tape and he denies the whole thing! Pull up your boots cause the B.S. is getting thick!

South Carolina and Clemson both have to turn down bowl bids for their punishment for their pre game fight last week. Good idea? That’s a big punishment when it comes to the college level.

Steve Spurrier will coach South Carolina next year. How many wins will his program have? Prediction: 9

Peyton Manning threw another 4 TD passes last week against the Bears. He now has 35 TD passes for the year. If James keeps running like he is, Peyton Manning may break the record in the next 3 games! Teams can’t focus just on Manning if James is running for 200 yards a game.

Ricky Williams was reinstated back into the NFL this week. He can join the Dolphins starting after his 4 game suspensions. The Dolphins would be stupid not to trade him. The real question is, will any team want him?

Game of the Week: San Francisco vs. Miami. Both teams are 1-9…. someone has to win right? This game is to see who gets the first pick in next year’s draft. Prediction 14-14 tie!

Happy Thanksgiving and enjoy the games this week. Nothing beats turkey and football!

Just The Facts:

We only had a few of you buy our half price package last week. Sorry that you missed out on the great weekend we had. No sales pitch this week but we are thankful for all customers and so we are giving you one of our guaranteed picks of the week: Colts/Lions OVER 54.

Happy Turkey Day.

We jumped to 5th place at UHC for College Picks and now sit at 24-13 with two weeks left in the contest.

Our Guaranteed picks went 8-1-1 last week.

Free Picks:

NFL Free Picks:

Washington @ Pittsburgh –10.5

How good are the Steelers? They are easily the best team in football right now. The Redskins are struggling to keep their heads above water. Last week, the Eagles 28-6 destroyed them. The trade for Portis has done nothing for their offense. Their quarterback situation is just as bad as it was last year. The Redskins are in a downward spiral right now and the last place they need to play is in Pittsburgh. Look for the Steelers to dominate the Redskins and make it an easy cover.

New York Jets –3 @ Arizona

No one would have thought at the beginning of the year that the Jets would have this small of a spread against the Cardinals. The Cardinals are for real this year; minus their thumping they received last week against the Panthers. The Jets are still on the tails of the Patriots. Any slip-ups along the way will mean disaster for them trying to challenge the Pats. This cannot be a slip-up game for the Jets. They got past the Browns last week and avoided that slip-up. They will get past the Cardinals and avoid yet another slip-up.

Green Bay/St. Louis OVER 52

Green Bay is on a roll right now. Favre is looked like the Favre of old throwing for over 300 yards and throwing TD passes. Green has been hurt but still effective. Their defense is suspect giving up points as well. We all know the Rams offense can put up points as well. And we all know the Rams defense is suspect as well. Hell, they gave up 37 points to the Bills! Two suspect defenses and two point scoring offenses can only mean one thing: An easy OVER.

College Free Picks:

Missouri @ Iowa State -4.5

Iowa State has been playing the underdog role all year. This week they play the favorite against a Missouri team that has quit on their coach. Missouri is done and Iowa State gets to get crushed by Oklahoma in the Big 12 championship.

Oklahoma State @ Texas Tech -4.5

The Red Raiders are 7-3 SU and 9-1 ATS vs. the Cowboys since 1988. The last two times Oklahoma State visited Lubbock they have been outscored 107-24. Take away the home loss to Texas and the Red Raiders have outscored their opposition in Lubbock 182-62 this year. Home cooking is good for Texas Tech.

Boise State/Nevada OVER 71.5

Nevada has scored at least 35 points each home game and Boise has given up an average of 40 points on the road. We all know Boise State is going to score 45 plus points. Can Nevada continue to score points at home against a team that they have not scored more than 7 points against the past 3 years? We like the over and Nevada to put up at least 28.
