Thoughts and Ponders
Did the Eagles come out and prove they are the best team in the NFC this past week? The Packers were just dominated! When the Eagles are clicking on all cylinders, they are going to be a tough team to beat.
Peyton Manning now has 44 touchdown passes with 4 games to go. 56 touchdown passes should be the new record by the end of the season.
The Steelers keep on winning with the rookie QB. 10 in a row now! Should we just give Roethlesberger the Rookie of the Year now?
We should put the top 8-college football teams into a tournament bracket and let them decide the National Championship that way. Hey, they do it that way with college basketball!
Best bowl game this winter? Louisville vs. Boise St. Hundreds of points will be scored in that game. Maybe by each team, if they go into overtime!
Who would have thought one of the highest scoring games of the weekend would have been the Buffalo Bills and Miami Dolphins. They combined for 74 points!
The Giants can still make the playoffs even though they have lost 5 in a row. They won’t go anywhere if they keep Eli Manning at the starting QB. But then again, Kurt Warner this past week said he is thinking about retirement rather than sit on the bench. The Giants aren’t going anywhere with either QB. How about Jesse “The Bachelor” Palmer? Wait, he might still be contemplating if he is going to marry that girl from the show. The Giants have no prayer with any of their QB’s.
AFC’s hottest team: Buffalo Bills
NFC’s hottest team: Carolina Panthers
AFC’s biggest disappointments: Kansas City Chiefs (hell, people picked this team to win the Super Bowl!) and Tennessee Titans (they have an excuse though, with their banged up QB.)
NFC’s biggest disappointments: Seattle Seahawks (this was a Super Bowl contender at the beginning of the year!) and St. Louis Rams (how do you only score 16 points on the 49ers!)

NFL Free Picks:
Miami +11 @ Denver
It’s hard to believe anyone would want to take a 2-10 team but this isn’t the same 2 win team from 3 weeks ago. They have an offense for some reason all of a sudden and are starting to put a few scares into teams. Seattle and the Bills have learned the last few weeks this isn’t an easy team to play. Denver has lost two in a row and their defense is struggling a little bit. Denver should win this game but it will be by single digits.
New York Jets/ Pittsburgh UNDER 35.5
This could easily be a 10-7 game. Both teams have really strong defenses and both offenses aren’t playing on all cylinders right now. With the injury to Plaxico, the Steelers have no deep threat so defenses are focusing on the run. Roethesberger isn’t doing anything spectacular but at the same time, he isn’t hurting his team so they are doing just enough to win. This will come down to a field goal game with this game being an easy under.
Chicago @ Jacksonville -7.5
Wide right! A 60 yard field goal was just a little right last Sunday night or the Jacksonville Jags would have handed the Steelers a second loss. The Jags are for real. Even with Leftwitch not at 100%, this is a strong team. Chicago is coming off an upset victory against the Vikings last week but it won’t happen this week. The Jags know, one loss could mean the end of their season in the tough AFC race for the playoffs. They can’t afford a loss especially a loss at home to a not so great team. The Jags win this one by 10 or more.
