Quote of the Week:

Anderson has been up and down his entire career but will end his career on a positive note tossing 4 or more touchdowns and the underrated Beaver defense will have a blast beating up Notre Dame. By: Meat Hook

The Meat Hooks New Year Resolution:

I will never bet on a team left out of the championship game or the BCS. Thanks California.

I will never bet the under in a USC game again.

I will continue to bet on Boston College when they play Notre Dame and when they play in a bowl game.

I will always look to bet the over in any game in Hawaii.

I will always look to bet on Dallas against Washington.

I will always look to bet on the super over totals on Monday night.

I will take at least a two-week break after football before breaking down all the right and wrong things we did this year.

I will always make sure our site offers a football package that will not cost an arm and a leg to our customers, no matter how big we get.

I will work on making our site better each and every year.

I will spend time with my family, who is very happy football is about to end, while I am sad to leave the season but happy to spend more time with them instead of the computer.

From The Nose Bleed Section:

Thoughts and Ponders for Week 17:

Congrats to all the teams that made the playoffs. Who would have thought 8-8 and you’d be in the playoffs?

Peyton Manning for MVP? You would think this was a no brainer but some people say Terrell Owens. Who is more valuable to their team?

The Chargers will make some noise in the AFC

The Rams will make some in the NFC.

The team the AFC playoff teams are glad didn’t make it: Buffalo Bills

The team the NFC playoff teams are glad didn’t make it: New Orleans Saints

How bad are the Vikings when it comes to the last half of the season?

Shawn Alexander complained about not getting to run the ball on the 1-yard line to tie for the rushing crown. Do you think he was upset because he didn’t get the rushing crown or was it the incentives that came with the title?

The 49ers get the first pick in next year’s draft. What are the chances they will trade that away before the draft?

Brett Favre vs. Peyton Manning in the Super Bowl. We have already seen it once this year and it was a shootout. Probably most of us wouldn’t mind seeing it again.

Just The Facts:

NFL Free Picks:

Minnesota @ Green Bay –6

The Packers will look to put Minnesota away early and see if Moss leaves the field in the 3rd quarter. We are pretty certain Randy will stick around although he will not be happy with the results on the field. Green Bay is playing too well to let Minnesota have a chance in this game. The Vikings are down and soon will be out for the count.

St. Louis +4 @ Seattle

If Seattle would have beaten the Rams once this year this might have been on of our guaranteed picks. We think the Rams will win straight up but that would make it three straight in one year, which is very difficult to do. With that said, the Rams should be able to keep the score within a field goal and get us the cover.
