Quote of the Week:

In reference to the "tuck" rule that negated an apparent fumble by New England quarterback Tom Brady against Oakland.

"If 100 guys sitting in a bar drinking beer thought it was a fumble, it was a fumble."
By Mike Holmgren

Thank You

We have been very busy breaking down all the games so we have not put together an article to publish. So we decided to give you one of our guaranteed plays as a token of our appreciation to you, Thehooks Book customers. Our 3 hook play of the week is Minnesota +8.5.

From The Nose Bleed Section:

Thoughts and Ponders for Week 17:

Peyton Manning received the MVP award for the second year in a row. He received 47 out of the 48 votes. Not too bad!

The Rams and the Jets and Vikings pulled off major upsets in the Wild Card games. No non-winning record team had ever won a playoff game. The Rams and the Vikings both won their games this week with 8-8 records.

The Vikings will give the Eagles a run for their money this week.

Brett Favre had a rough playoff game last week. 4 INT’s. His head just isn’t into it as much as it should be. And who would blame him. His life outside of football has been rough for the past year and it’s not getting better. Don’t be surprised to see him hang it up this summer.

Rams vs. Falcons. The “greatest show on turf” meets the “greatest playmaker in the game.”

There is a possibility that the Rams and the Vikings will play for the NFC championship. Two teams that everyone wrote off have a chance to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl.

The Colts should beat the Pats this week. But will last year’s game haunt them?

Enjoy the playoffs this weekend. There should be some great games and some possibilities of some great upsets!

St. Louis +7 @ Atlanta

This should be an unbelievable match up. Michael Vick is easily the best playmaker in the game. The Rams are known for being the “Greatest Show on Turf.” Well, this week they will meet each other. The Rams seem to be back in the groove after last week’s win against the Seahawks. The Falcons are still a little banged up. The Rams could go into Atlanta and pull off another upset. Even if they don’t, this game will come down to someone’s leg. The field goal kicker’s leg.

Pittsburgh/New York Jets OVER 34

These two teams have met before and it was a defensive battle. The defenses will show up again this week but more points will be scored. The Steelers have been well rested and their offense is ready to strike. The Steelers are out to prove they can win in the playoffs with a rookie QB. The Jets will keep it close with points of their own. Who will win? That’s up in the air but we know they will go OVER.
