Quote of the Week:

"Stop cheating!" the dealer told the card player. "I'm not!" claimed the player. "You must be," said the dealer. "That is not the hand that I dealt you."

Weekly Package

We promised not to make any sales pitch so if you are not interested in our quality guaranteed picks, please skip this part.

We could say this is a special rate but this is as low as the rates go in our industry. Our guaranteed picks cost only $20 and if we do not produce winners then you get the next week free. To tell you the truth, we struggled for 3 weeks and finally said enough is enough and gave all our weekly customers who lost in that 3 week period the entire second half of the season for free. We wanted to prove to them that we are here for the long run and we will produce for them. Not too many businesses would do that. We could have just said thank you and now it will cost you $20 since we hit 70% last week but we think they deserve more than just one week. We even guaranteed to win 60% over the 8 weeks or they would be given the NFL Playoff Package and the Major College Bowl Package for Free!

So if you are ready to take the step over to the company that takes care of its' customers and will not charge you an arm for the top picks, join us at Thehooks and start a relationship that will not let you down.

From The Nose Bleed Section:

-Even on their bye week, the Dolphins are still losing! Was Dave Wannstedt the real reason why the Dolphins were 1-8?

-Damn those Steelers are good! The Eagles didn’t even look like a team that had won a game this year.

-One loss and Terrell Owens is complaining about not getting the ball enough. Hey T.O! It is still McNabb’s team, not yours!

-The Bills are better than their record shows.

-What a difference Randy Moss makes for the Vikings. If Moss played Monday night against the Colts, the Vikings might of won that game.

-How bad is the Chiefs defense? The Bucs had scored 109 points all year and put up 34 points against the Chiefs. The Chiefs are proving that you need defense to win games. At least a little defense wins games. Look at the Colts.

-Will Peyton Manning break Dan Marino’s TD record this year? He is on pace. Prediction: 46 TD passes. You will keep the record Mr. Marino.

-How much better are the Colts when James gets the ball? Hell, he is the career leader in yards from scrimmage. He has more than the great Jim Brown. Steal a line from Keyshon, GIVE HIM THE DAMN BALL!

-Game of the Week: Pittsburgh @ Cleveland. Throw the records out, they don’t mean a thing when these two teams get together.

Just The Facts:

We are in 2nd place in the NFL Total OVER/UNDER plays with a 14-5 (74%) mark at the National Sports Monitor.

We are struggling at the Hilton Super NFL Contest with a 21-24 record.

Our free picks went 4-1 last week putting our season record to 36-28-1. (56%)

NFL FREE PICKS:

Buffalo @ New England –8.5

After winning 21 in a row and then getting beat pretty handily by the Steelers, the Pats came out and proved they are still for real last week against the Rams. The Bills have won 2 in a row and are proving to be better than their record shows. Unfortunately for the Bills this week, they travel to New England and play a rejuvenated Pats team. The Bills are getting better but they are nowhere good enough to stay with the Pats. An easy victory for the Pats this week.

Tampa Bay +3.5 @ Atlanta

The Bucs are full of confidence now. It only takes one solid week of play and you just never know what is going to happen to a team. Last week against the Chiefs they proved to everyone including themselves that they can put points on the board. Atlanta is coming off a bye week and knows the importance of this game. When these two teams meet, it usually means a good close game. With Tampa Bay getting 3.5 points and a vote of confidence, take the Bucs in this one.

Kansas City/New Orleans OVER 58

How bad are the Saints this year? It doesn’t matter how bad a team is. You know they will score points against the Chiefs. The best part about it is you know the Chiefs will score points as well. The Chiefs are usually a good OVER team no matter how high the OVER is. We all know the Saints are horrible but you know they are still good for some touchdowns. The Chiefs will score their points like they usually do and allow the points like they usually do. This should be an easy OVER.

COLLEGE FREE PICKS:

UCLA @ Oregon -6.5

The Ducks need this win to get rid of that bad taste from last week. Oregon has been much better than what everyone expected and will punish the weak UCLA defense this weekend. There will be no doubt when this game is over. Oregon will be bowling for the Holidays while the Bruins will be staying home this year.

Army/Tulane OVER 64.5

Tulane has been putting up the points when they play at home while Army has been consistently piling up over 400 yards of offense. Expect a game similar to last year when they combined for 83 points.

Boise State/San Jose State OVER 71.5

Boise State needs to keep winning big and play impressive football in order to move up in the rankings. Look for the Broncos to jump out to a huge lead and the Spartans to score enough points to get this game over the total.

Marshall @ Bowling Green -10

The Falcons are playing like a champion while Marshall has to be wondering what the heck happened after last week. Bowling Green is clearly the better team and will deal the final blow to knock out the Thundering Herd.
