College Football Picks Week 6 Louisville -6.5 @ West Virginia There are two ways to look at Louisville so far this year. The first way and might I add is the wrong way, is that they are just not as good as advertised this year. They will blow teams out at home and struggle on the road. Just like they have so far. Don't fall into that trap. The other way to look at the Cardinals is the correct way. The Cardinals have blown teams out at home and struggled against in state rival Kentucky, which they normally do, and took a good South Florida team lightly and paid dearly for it. They are focused and will be ready to play every week for the rest of the season. Last week the line should have been -21 but was -13 because of their mistakes. This week the line should be double digits but sits right under a touchdown. As a bettor take advantage of the Cardinals mistake and put some money in your pocket.
College Football Picks Week 6 Louisville 44 - West Virginia 46 ---- the Cardinals. I am not picking this team on the road until they win and cover at least 2 road games. They are up by 17 and let W VA onside kick them and then just quit playing until the overtime. I was wrong on my prediction. This is a bet on team at home only. I really like them for the road against Cinn this week but the hell with them.
College Football Picks Week 6 Utah St. @ Fresno State -33 Fresno State is the real deal and they are not afraid to pound on the weaker teams. Their only loss was a game that they had many chances to win at Oregon. The Ducks are a pretty good team, just ask Arizona State. This team is the class of the WAC this year while Utah State is one of the bottom 3 teams in the conference. Expect Fresno to get up early and hammer this team until the end. 33 Points is a lot but at home Fresno State has beaten Toledo by 30 and Weber State by 38. Final Score: Fresno State 63 Utah State 10
College Football Picks Week 6 Utah St. 21 - Fresno State 533 Fresno dominated this game but had to settle for field goals 3 times inside the redzone hence we loss by one point on the spread. Hell, keep playing defense and we still get the win.
College Football Picks Week 6 Georgia –15.5 @ Vanderbilt Georgia stays on the road for one more week as they take on Vandy this week. A few weeks ago everybody was talking about Vanderbilt and how they were undefeated for the year. Then they lost to a weak school and then LSU destroyed them last week. This week they take on Georgia, one of the toughest teams in the SEC. Georgia is coming off an impressive victory over Tennessee last weekend. Vandy is showing signs of last year’s team. Maybe the first few weeks were a fluke for Vandy but the last few weeks has shown a team that is really struggling right now. Georgia will continue to put the hurt on Vandy as they watch their chance at a bowl game slip away. Take Georgia on the road.
College Football Picks Week 6 Georgia 34 - Vanderbilt 17 Barely a cover but a cover nonetheless. Georgia is playing some solid ball right now and they continued to show it last weekend with an easy victory over Vandy. Vandy kept it as close as they could but in the end, Georgia showed they were the much stronger team and pulled off the close ATS win.
College Football Picks Week 6 Nevada/LA TECH Over 56.5 These teams have averaged 85 points a game in their past 5 contests and many people think that this game will be like last year which was a low scoring game for them (38-21) but still went over the total. I think this game is more like the games in 2002 and 2003 when they averaged 86.5 points a game. Last year both offenses struggled while this year the offenses have more experience and seem be ready to hit full stride. LA Tech hung 46 on a decent Hawaii defense while Nevada put up 62 against Idaho. I am thinking Nevada 47 LA TECH 38 which would put us over the total and put Nevada in first place in the WAC with two weeks off to get ready for a suspect Boise State team.
College Football Picks Week 6 Nevada 37 - LA TECH 27 The trend continues as this series just seems to find a way to get over the total. Nevada played well enough on defense to almost shut LA TECH out but the Nevada offense helped the Bulldogs in the second quarter with costly turnovers helping us reach the total
College Football Picks Week 6 Toledo/Ball St. OVER 61 Toledo is on the road this week as they take on Ball St. Both teams are coming off high scoring games. Toledo was victorious while Ball St. lost by 3. Both these teams are capable of putting the ball in the end zone quite a bit. Even Ball St. can put the ball in the end zone as evident in their 60-57 loss last weekend. Toledo has been putting up points for the entire season now and this game should be no different. Toledo should be able to score at will against Ball St. Ball St. will be able to score just as much. This should be a high-flying game from start to finish. I wouldn’t be surprised to see the winning team’s score in the 50’s with the losing team probably not far behind that. Points will be racked up quick in this one. Take the OVER in this shootout.
College Football Picks Week 6 Toledo 34 - Ball St. 14 Mixed emotions in this game that ended in the UNDER when we wanted the OVER. The game started off slow in the first quarter and picked up by halftime. Scoring started off quickly in the 3rd quarter but then a total dry spell after that. A quick touchdown in the 4th quarter gave a little glimpse of hope but the dry spell continued till the final whistle. A game that should have been an easy OVER turned out to be a dead UNDER.
College Football Picks Week 6 Indiana @ Iowa -14 Iowa is now 25-4-1 ATS at home (2-0 this year) under Coach Ferentz. Most people have thrown them out of the loop after Ohio State crushed them but if Penn State falters this team will slip through and win the Big Ten. This is an experienced team that will not let an early loss ruin their year. Indiana has a decent passing game but has not played a defense like they are about to play. Wisconsin kept them in check and from the looks of things the Badgers defense is not that good. Indiana will win some more games this year but they will be over matched in this game, as the Hawkeyes will win rather easily.
College Football Picks Week 6 Iowa 38 - Indiana 21 Iowa continued to win at home ATS. But we feel fortunate to get the cover in this game. Indiana controlled the clock and was very impressive on the road. They will upset a player in the conference if they are taken lightly.
