Thehooks radio handicapping will be back on the air starting August 22, 2009 every Saturday morning 10 am to 11 am live in Reno, NV..
Join us next time for the only handicapping show that talks with the listeners, not at them. We have our opinions and we want yours to be heard along with our weekly studio guests!
The Show
Why do the Radio Show? Are we making money on the show? We like doing the show and I think it is reflected on how it comes across. We are not making any money off of it - as a matter of fact whenever we get new sponsors we use the money to give away more prizes. So we are idiots for doing it for free - Right?
Well we've been called worse but the truth is - we consider it our hobby. No different than going out and playing golf on the weekend. Instead of teeing it up we mike it up locally in Reno. The show is based on callers participating in the show. Most handicapping shows have a handicappers selling their services and telling you who they like. Our show consists of us talking about the games, giving out our picks, and callers giving out information and picks.
We hold a weekly contest and give out cash, food, t-shirts, tickets to games, and anything else we can get our hands on.
